This course is a pivotal step in your diving journey, expanding both your knowledge and your ability to respond to real-world situations. More than just learning new skills, Rescue Divers develop the mindset to look out for others and become true leaders underwater.
While the course does push your limits, it's one of the most rewarding experiences you can have as a diver. You'll build confidence, learn to anticipate and prevent problems before they occur, and be prepared to handle emergencies if they do arise.
Our Rescue Diver course includes a classroom session to cover key concepts, a dedicated in-water practice session, and a full day of scenario-based training dives. Through these hands-on experiences, you’ll learn how to assist tired or panicked divers, manage dive-related emergencies, and sharpen your situational awareness.

What You Need…
You will use your basic scuba diving equipment. You will also need a pocket mask during this course.
The Learning Materials You Need…
PADI Rescue Diver Manual (included in the course fee).
You will learn how to think like a rescue diver and act like a rescue diver. The tool box of knowledge and skills you learn will give you the expertise to handle almost any emergency situation.
Prerequisites…
- PADI Advanced Open Water certification (or have a qualifying certification from another organization)
- Be trained and current for first aid and CPR within the previous two years (Check out our Emergency First Response CPR and first aid courses)
- Be a certified Oxygen Prodiver
- Be 12 years or older (12-14 year old divers will earn a Junior Rescue Diver certification)
